Eric Treehouse — Artist Biography
Lowell, Massachusetts songwriter Eric Treehouse took a circuitous path to his debut record. Born on June 9, 1981, Treehouse spent years working as a welder and visual artist before shifting his primary creative energy toward music. Today, he teaches middle school visual art, spends his free time fishing local waters, and hand-builds his own guitar amplifiers—a trade skill carried over from his time working with steel and solder.
Despite a quiet footprint on the competitive awards circuit—he has never won an industry award—Treehouse is no stranger to high-profile stages. His background includes televised performances at venues such as the Berklee Performance Center in Boston and the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in New Hampshire.
That history of steady performance eventually drew the attention of seasoned industry talent. For his debut EP, anchored by the lead single “The Wake,” Treehouse teamed up with veteran mixing engineer Brian Scheuble (Aimee Mann, Elton John, Fiona Apple).
Rather than treating the debut as a tentative entry point, Treehouse has already tracked a complete follow-up full-length album backed by a team of prominent session players from New York, Connecticut, Los Angeles, and abroad.
Grounded in the working-class industrial backdrop of Lowell, Treehouse’s work reflects a craftsman’s patience: built by hand, tested on stage, and captured alongside team-players who know how to breathe life into song.
